In the summer at camp rain showers build and move across camp two to six times in six hours.
Yesterday we saw the same thing except with cold air. The snow and the visibility was very low in at least four snow showers. Followed in fifteen minutes by blue sky and clouds in the distance.
The trigger is unstable air caused by cold air aloft and also the air is moving up as winds move up and over the mountains.
