Irene the storm

At Kathy's Wednesday ladies gathering, I stated two
meteorological model outcomes for the northeast.

Neither outcome was good.  One shows
Connecticut taking a direct hit.

Strong east or northeast winds appear
likely based on each.

Now that this is posted the result will be known
in four days. By Sunday afternoon we should have the
results.

Hot temperatures in Maine; only July

The remainder of the country may see extended heat.
We do not.  Yesterday's afternoon maximum
temperature was 62F.

Now Tuesday below 60F.
Sun tomorrow.

WI and NH birthdays

August 8 is the day of birth of two.

One gentleman turned 100 yesterday.
He still goes to work.
